The Viking Lodge was a good value for the money and the location was great. Bus to Winter Park is literally next door. The room had a Bed in the loft that my daughter loved, and one on the main floor. The room was basic but had the essentials.

The booking asked for personal details for each occupant, like birth date and other identity theft concerns. When I got to the phone number, it prompted a pop up menu to chose a country. I just stopped. Googled the location to make sure it was a real Lodge. I called the phone number, it said to call during business hours, which it was. Hesitantly, I then completed the process. I guess I’m just paranoid with all the scams out there. Still hoping when I got to town I had not been taken. I was pleasantly surprised.

Booked two rooms for four people over the phone the owners were incredibly accommodating, even sending the payment method through email to ensure our stay. The loft rooms were spacious and great, and we loved how everything was within walking distance! We all agreed wholeheartedly that this was our favorite place to stay through our whole trip.
There wasn't any air conditioning, but we did well with the fans near each bed. The walls are a little thin so I could hear laugher from next door, and a family right above. Don't know if these things can be helped, but it didn't dissuade our opinion of the place. |

What a cool place....perfect location and price. Could do with a better mattress or a cover on it to make it softer but otherwise, just what we needed for a quick stay before a ski race. Also could have used a toothpaste :-)

We really enjoy the setting at your lodge, the old nostalgic feel of the 1950/60’s is refreshing and a nice venue for Winter Park, especially during the skiing season. We enjoyed the newly remodeled room #24 with updated carpet and shower/tub.
