Description
The Viking King Bedrooms are larger than the Queen Rooms but not quite as big as a standard hotel room. All these rooms have a private bath, color TV, small fridge and are located just off the lobby. These rooms are on the 2nd floor of the building, we do not have an elevator. We do not have A/C either, but we do have free fans. If you have any location requests let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

Such a great find, I love this place. Close to the resort and right in downtown winter park. It was so cute and clean. The room was perfect and bed was comfy. I was so happy with the price and it seems to be family owned which I loved. I love this plsee more

Hello - Thanks for taking time to post your review. It is unfortunate that almost every ski rental in town was booked during your stay. This can happen during busy times of the year, especially spring break. Explorie is very accommodating to provide other opportunities for ski rental when their vendor is booked. I know the Front Desk Staff and I placed numerous calls to local ski shops in Winter Park, Fraser and even Granby to assist in your rentals. Your comment to "read the fine print" is a bit of an over-exaggeration and I apologize if it was taken the wrong way. When we talked I asked if you had read the confirmation that outlines the booking process for ski rentals. This is handled by a third party. Never the less, I have contacted Explorie to discuss this breakdown in communication.
"Why didn't you ever light a fire outside?" - Not sure what you are looking for here? There are Solo Stoves out in front of the ice cream store that belong to the ice cream store. You should take this request up with them. |

It was a great location. I had a very comfortable room. Scott was very friendly as were other staff members. I would definitely stay at the Viking Lodge again.

Wonderful service and space! Definitely a place I will return. The common space is comfortable and feels like home. The bed is great and the room supports all our needs. Affordable, friendly and right next to bus stop for those going to the slopessee more

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water. The room was small and dated wood paneling...but the rate was very good for a busy weekend in WP. I rated the accommodations as bad only because the room was very dated...bsee more

This was the perfect location for our weekend in Winter Park. It was just me and my boyfriend the rooms may be tricky if you have a kid as there is basically a bathroom and a bed. Not much other room. The rooms are as described, nothing over the top see more

Providing ceramic mugs for tea/cocoa, microwave and plates for heating leftovers and a sitting area that is classic ski nostalgia. Office staff is friendly and helpful. Can't say enough great things! Also stayed in a queen room (#16) and it was also very comfortable, albeit sightly smaller. We were there for the powder, so the Viking is the place to stay to beat the I70 traffic!

I love this hotel!!! But I will say it was quite overpriced for 18 hours. After all was said and done, we paid about $11/hour to sleep somewhere. However, we were able to get a room for one night when no other locations would offer this and the locatsee more

However, we were able to get a room for one night when no other locations would offer this and the location is fantastic. The rooms are clean and warm. Frills-free as advertised. I just wish Frills-free wasn’t so expensive.
